Well, it seems another week has come and gone. I don’t know where the time goes, but it sure goes by a lot faster every year.

The blackberry label is finally done. I’m working in a 6.75″ square, and it’s hard to fit long words into it. See what I mean?

I dink around trying to fit it all in, and all of a sudden it magically fits! And you know what else? I did the exact same thing with the strawberry label! However, the C was much easier to fit in than the W. It’s not that I can’t spell, it’s that the letters stop being a word, and become part of a design. By the sixth or seventh time you try to get it all smushed in there, it’s just easier to leave part of it out.

Fortunately, I discovered the error before I added any ink, but it was a close call on both occasions. Really close!

    I love this label, Lisa!

It’s very retro and, I must admit, blackberries are one of my favourite berries… I’d love to grow some if only the birds wouldn’t eat them! :/

Thanks Rita! I’m so glad to hear it has a retro feel to it, as that’s exactly what I’ve been trying to achieve. In fact, all my possessions are retro, but when I bought them, they were new. ;)

Grow the blackberries. They grow like weeds, and make a better fence than money can buy. It won’t take long before there’ll be enough for you, and the birds too! Besides, they’re way to expensive to buy in the grocery store.

They also freeze well. I wish you berry good luck in your gardening future. :)

This is another great design. I can see this as a decorative tile in a kitchen. A large expensive kitchen.

    Happy New Year,
    Bill

Thanks Bill! I have a small, cheesy looking kitchen. I guess I should buy someone else’s artwork?

    Have a wonderful new year!

Yep, Lisa, this painting would not be a fit for your place.

You might could find one of those “Painting a Day” small pieces 2″ x 3″ of a walnut that would work.
