Z is for…

Z is for zinnober, zircon white, and zinc yellow. Z is for zoho, a Japanese method of calligraphic overlapping using a brush, and Zig calligraphy supplies. Z is for zincography, a printing process using zinc plates.

Z is for zip, the vertical lines pained in the works of abstract expressionist Barnett Newman. Z is for zebrawood, and for zoomorphic, paintings with animal attributes. Z is for zoopraxiscope and zeotrope, early mechanical devices for simulating movement and animation.

    This series is just amazing!!
    I’ve enjoyed seeing what you come up with for each letter. (I’m bad at commenting sometimes!)
    I imagine that z was a little difficult.

    Thanks Kasie! Yep, those last few letters of the alphabet didn’t offer much in the art dept.

    I’m not real good about comments either, but I always stay caught up with my reading!

    Wow! I’ve popped in and out throughout this series, Lisa and at no point did I see evidence of your imagination flagging. It is a beautiful book and what a treasure.
